Could you make a positive difference to the lives of vulnerable young people aged 16-18yrs old, who are taking the next step in transitioning from care to semi-independent living, before leaving care at 18?
We are looking for a dynamic Support Mentor who wants to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable looked after young people.
As a Support Mentor, you will primarily be providing support around independence skills. However, you will need to be empathetic and understanding of the trauma some of the young people you are supporting may have suffered which can sometimes manifest in challenging behaviours.
- You must be at least 25 yrs + of age and have the following:
- 2 Years’ relevant experience working with vulnerable young people/adults voluntary or paid
- A relevant qualification pertaining to this field of work.
- Full driving license with access to own transport.
