Our Digital and Information team are leaders in developing digital projects within NHS Fife, are looking to recruit a graduate apprentice programme support officer to join our growing team.

You will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge through study within the digital programme management office and will be a key team member involved in the day-to-day running of a variety of transformational digital projects to support staff and patients within NHS Fife.

We want to empower our staff and service users by supporting them through digital developments that will support positive health outcomes.

Clinical systems are crucial in the delivery of healthcare, and this role will play an important part in implementing a range of new systems and upgrades. Along with your work within Digital Projects, you will be engaging and working with the operational teams and multiple clinical areas. Your Study

You will also spend one day per week studying on the University of Dundee’s Graduate Apprenticeship Programme, where you will work towards achieving your BSc (Hons) IT Management for Business over the course of four years. This forms part of your working week and your workload will reflect this for the duration of your participation on the Programme.

In addition to the one day per week at university, there is the expectation to undertake an average of 7-9 hours of additional University study per week (outside of your contractual hours) to successfully complete the Programme.

You will be required to fully engage with the requirements of the University of Dundee’s Graduate Apprenticeship Programme. Failure to do so will / may result in the termination of your employment.

Entry requirements:

  • A Modern or Foundation Apprenticeship in a relevant area along with a Higher in two science or engineering subjects (Computing science is recommended) or
  • BBBC at Higher including two science or engineering subjects (Computing science is recommended) or
  • Equivalent

Prior work experience will also be taken into consideration and the role is open to anyone who meets the requirements above.
