This exciting new role at ESPO is ideal for someone who is passionate about eCommerce and Digital Marketing, ensuring our customers have a fantastic experience when they visit our websites.

About the Role

Incorporating both eCommerce and Digital Marketing skills, this is a great opportunity to be part of our team.

As we continue to develop our websites and online presence, we are looking for a person who enjoys the process of improving our customer experience, including monitoring ongoing projects with our web development agency, reviewing analytics, creating reports and understanding wider digital marketing opportunities. This will also involve working with other internal teams within ESPO to ensure developments meet the correct requirements and internal teams are supported in their use.

As a key member of the digital team and as part of the wider marketing team you will assist with digital marketing execution to ensure campaigns are optimised and reported on.

As part of the website and digital marketing team, you will report to our Digital Development Manager and support them with our fantastic growth plans.

This is a hybrid role (1–2 days a week in our Leicester office)

Responsibilities

  • Scope requirements for website improvements, including front and back-end changes, working with internal teams and the website development agency to finalise and agree the final solution.
  • Analyse website KPIs and monitoring platforms to identify areas for improvement and to monitor success of developments that have been implemented.
  • Carry out data analysis and insights to report KPIs including website revenue growth and customer behaviour. Prepare reports based on these findings.
  • Undertake website testing during development phases to identify and report bugs and errors including detailed replication steps.
  • Using a helpdesk tool, report website bugs reported by internal teams or customers including detailed replication steps to assist the technical fix.
  • Work with the wider digital team to prioritise development work and fixes in line with ESPO’s commercial plan and website development strategy.
  • Carry out data manipulation using excel to meet the Marketing team’s wider needs.
  • Triage ESPO internal website issues or queries, resolving and responding to any that don’t require a technical fix.
  • Maintain general website and intranet content, ensuring it is kept up to date. Respond to short notice requests in exceptional circumstances to ensure service levels are maintained.
  • Support wider marketing team with digital aspects of campaigns, helping to train new staff on how to maintain on-site content.
  • Keep internal project boards up to date with progress and updates.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

• Have a degree or experience in digital marketing, maths, computer science or similar. and ideally have completed courses in digital marketing or website development at level 4 or above. Google Analytics accreditation would be an advantage.

• Experience of day-to-day management of an enterprise level ecommerce website platform such as Adobe Commerce or Shopify. Ideally in a B2B environment.

• Experience of working with data, reporting and analysing, using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console and Hotjar or similar. Should demonstrate good standard of excel knowledge.

• Digital marketing skills should ideally include experience of paid search and paid social along with knowledge of digital marketing channels such as SEO and email marketing.

• Experience of using HTML (CSS/JavaScript) to improve website design/functionality would be an advantage.

• Demonstrate high standard of attention to detail and strong organisation skills. Be self-motivated, with a completer finisher mentality, capable of working independently and solving problems.
