About the role:
Responsible for providing support to systems’ users and maintaining computer systems and hardware. You will be expected to be motivated, self-driven and be able to largely work unsupervised in a user facing role. You will also need to possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting IT issues with users, liaising with GBS and external vendors to resolve those issues; or where appropriate provide resolution of the issue.
- Installing and updating software as assigned by GBS or Head of IT
- Troubleshooting hardware issues with users, liaising with GBS and external vendors to resolve those issues; or where appropriate provide resolution of the issue.
- Manage and/or participate in IT projects for network/system implementations
- Maintaining IT records including IT related stock
- Supporting IT security risk mitigation activities
- Supporting IT accreditation activities
- Gathering data and writing reports on the status of hardware and software in the organization
- Managing all phases of assigned projects
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Head of IT / Business Systems.
Who are we looking for?
You will need to be detailed and analytical and be an effective communicator with an adapting style to suit.
Possess problem-solving skills and have well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills & Experience:
- Computing-based qualification
- Experience in similar IT support role
- Working knowledge of ITIL working practices beneficial
- Good knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
- Experiences across multiple Microsoft operating systems
