Marmon Industrial Water designs and manufacturers water and wastewater treatment equipment solutions, under the brand names Graver Water Systems and Ecodyne. Our technologies included raw water pretreatment, filtration, ion exchange, demineralization, degasification, hot lime softening, boiler make-up, condensate polishing, wastewater treatment, cooling, and oil/water separation for markets such as petrochemical/chemical, power generation and heavy industrial plants.

In this hands-on role, the IT Support Specialist will provide essential IT support to the MIW team in Burlington Ontario, while also partnering with the IT Leadership on projects to support business objectives.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Act as the local resource to troubleshoot and deploy hardware to employees.
• Respond to urgent issues impacting the business’s ability to function efficiently
• Support local server maintenance and trouble shooting as needed
• Provide desktop support to users in collaboration with outsourced IT provider
• Champion Marmon initiatives related to IT compliance and security
• Partner with IT Leadership on projects to support business priorities
• Work with stakeholders to identify and document business challenges, processes, and functional requirements.
• Work with stakeholders and IT staff to brainstorm, plan, and implement technology solutions that solve real-world business problems.
• Operate in the capacity of IT project coordinator as required
• Help drive adoption of technology through training and one-on-one consultation
• Other responsibilities as required or assigned

Qualifications, Skills, Competencies:

• 2-3 years working in a similar capacity
• Computer Networking, Technician, or similar education preferred.
• Proficient in software applications, especially Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of networking, server support
• Successful experience in Desktop Support
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Strong collaboration skills in one-on-one and team settings
• Able and willing to complete hands on, physical aspects of the role
• Available for occasional travel within North America
