We're looking for caring, creative and bubbly *female colleagues with exceptional communication skills to join our busy Community Support service as Support Practitioners in North Ayrshire. We have 16 to 30 hour contracts available.
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. However, as the individuals we support have barriers to communication, we will need you to bring an excellent grasp and understanding of the English language.
We'll pay you for your training and will give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification too!
The Role
As a Support Practitioner, you'll play a crucial role in supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, support to activities and appointments, managing personal finances, assisting with medication and personal care. You'll take an active interest in their hobbies and interests which include exploring new locations, going for walks, going swimming and bowling, listening to music and taking part in arts and crafts. With your guidance and care, you'll help the people we support be an active member of their local community.
It would be great if you had a full driving licence and have access to your own vehicle, however, this isn't a deal breaker!

If you’re successful in joining our team, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration. We will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
