Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Support Practitioner, offering part time, permanent 31 hours per week in our housing support services in Motherwell. No experience needed, training and support provided and we in return will offer excellent staff benefits!

About us
Sense Scotland has been supporting individuals with communication support needs and/or a physical/learning disability for more than thirty years. We have been supporting individuals to live in their own home and in the way that they choose to live their life with a dedicated team of staff for many years. We currently support individuals throughout North and South Lanarkshire in Airdrie, Blantyre, Rutherglen, Hamilton and Motherwell. About the role
You will be part of a team offering 24 hour support to 2 individuals who share their home in Motherwell. We have a dedicated team providing full and part time staff who work early, mid and late shifts as required.
The individuals we support do not communicate through speech so you will be required to work hard to develop and understand how they communicate and respect their need for routine. At times person may communicate in ways which can be challenging. You will receive full training in understanding challenging behaviour and a full support plan will be in place for you to follow. People have structured routines and it is essential that these are followed at all times.
