Our teams are expanding and we have various contracts available up to 30 hours and are also looking to expand our relief team too, so if you're looking for more flexibility our relief contracts might be just up your street!
We recruit on values and transferrable skills, so you don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need, including the opportunity to complete your fully funded SVQ qualification!
The Role
With a focus on maintaining and promoting independence, you will work in a person-centred way to provide support in all aspects of daily living, including cooking and preparing meals, personal care, administering medication and managing personal finances. You’ll be enthusiastic and take an active interest in their hobbies which may include karaoke, arts and crafts, live music, going for walks and to the shops along with many more activities. We'll be looking to you to help identify new opportunities for participation and inclusion for the people we support.
As a few of the people we support have their own mobility cars it would be great if you have a manual UK driving licence with at least one year experience but this isn’t a deal breaker!!
To be a great Support Practitioner, we'll need you have;
- Great communication skills.
- Able to think outside the box.
- Caring attitude and approach.
- Positive approach to learning.
- Able to follow guidelines.
- Confidence in the use of computers.
Shift Patterns
We provide tailored support across our Community and Housing Support services. Some of our roles include sleepovers and waking nights.
Our sleepover shifts do not form part of your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional payment of £84 for an 8 hour sleepover or £94.50 for a 9 hour sleepover. For our Waking Nights you will receive your normal hourly rate plus a further £20 per night.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting your employment with us.
