Good Growth Assistant (Community Capacity Team)
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the newly formed Community Capacity Team within the Localism service. This role will play an integral role in making a positive difference to communities in Cornwall by delivering grants and providing support to organisations to develop skills.
It is an excellent time to join this small team which is delivering part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund which will support the UK Government’s wider commitment to level up all parts of the UK.

We have a full-time vacancy for a Good Growth Assistant to support the Community Capacity Fund Team. The team will deliver a programme of support to communities across Cornwall working with Community Network Panels, Councillors and local community organisations.
The assistant post will be responsible for providing assistance to recipients and managing the administration for the grants process as well as supporting the team in other community capacity building activity.
Activities will include, but not be limited to:
- Develop delivery support function and develop and maintain recipient guidance document and FAQs
- Managing the application process and approvals
- Processing of claims and making payments
- Working closely with the Community Capacity team, review all guidance and input recipient’s feedback on what works/needs improvement
- Advise on evaluation approach
- Engagement events
- Networking and collaboration
- Audit, document management, record keeping and compliance
Due to our evolving ways of working, the role may require you to work remotely (e.g. from home or other locations). We work flexibly to most effectively support the people, services and organisations that we support and will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.
