Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 dependant on skills and experience
Main Location: Primarily Stratford but occasional travel to Ilford, Romford and other TfL locations
Reporting directly to Head of Operations for the Elizabeth Line acting as lead support for the Operations team to include Network Operations, Network Assurance, Performance, Strategy and Training. The Business Support Manager is responsible for coordinating whole team business meetings / events and collating all business reporting / metrics including for cross functional / inter departmental team interfaces as well as diary management and admin support to the Head of Operations.
This role will manage SAP interfaces for the whole team alongside HR and Finance Business Partners, including the recruitment of new colleagues, promotion, role profiles, team organisation management.
As an engagement champion for the whole team to establish succession planning, training and on-going competence planning, delivery and reporting. This includes liaison support for the management and delivery of industrial relations local communications / meetings / actions.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for coordinating whole team business meetings / events and collating all business reporting / metrics including facilitation of cross functional / inter departmental team interfaces
- Responsible for coordinating the reporting from the technical, delivery, commercial, performance, assurance and compliance teams utilising company Systems (CEAMS, MyKnow. etc),
- Responsible for the control of SAP for the whole team in association with HR and Finance Business Partners; recruitment of new colleagues, promotion, role profiles, team organisation management as Gate Keeper
- A champion for the whole team on engagement, succession planning, training and on-going competence planning / delivery / reporting
- Responsible for the Operations team Credit Card - governance, management, invoice alignment, budget.
- Responsible for the management of the diary and admin and secretarial support directly to the Head of Operations
- A champion for the recruitment of new staff into the Elizabeth Line Operations team.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of support needed for Senior Management
- Knowledge of working in and supporting multi-functional / multi-discipline teams
- Knowledge in working across company sectors and different departments
- Knowledge on producing presentations and written reports
- IT skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge in arranging functions and team events
- An appreciation in team budgets / costs reporting
- An appreciation of Rail sector working
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including experience of working in an environment that requires communicating with a wide range of senior internal and external contacts.
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
- Methodical approach to work paying close attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Good IT and computer skills
Experience:
- Experience of working in an operational or similar fast paced environment
- Experience of supporting a medium to large team in a business support or admin capacity.
- Experience of working on own initiative, accurately and to tight deadlines, and to prioritise between conflicting demands.
- Experience of promoting and building effective working relationships with all levels of staff and external contacts.
