Junior 1st Line IT Support Engineer
The company:
Support Desk UK has been operating for 15 years as an IT Managed Service Provider, based in Cheadle, Stockport, supporting small to medium sized businesses nationwide. The products we provide include IT Support, VoIP, Back-ups, Data and Connectivity, Cloud Services. We are looking for junior first line engineer to join the team.
The role:
- Delivering outstanding service and technical support via remote tools, to our customers
- Monitoring, triaging, updating and completing tasks from the service desk ticket system
- Diagnosing issues and performing first time fixes where possible
- Managing customer expectations through clear communication
- Provide regular, meaningful updates on ongoing issues
- Ensuring all issues are resolved to customers satisfaction
- Working with other members of the team to investigate and resolve issues
- Use of tools and applications such; Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Hyper-V
- Occasionally setup new equipment; desktops, laptops, VoIP phones, printers
- Monday to Friday, office based
The person:

- Has an analytical mind that can logically solve problems

- Some experience of 1stline support tools and techniques
- Basic knowledge of networking, Windows OS and Microsoft Office, Active Directory
- Excellent organisational skills, being able to prioritise, finish what you start, manage time, document key actions, and follow up
- Experience of working with servers, routers, switches, firewalls, would be an advantage
