HOTEL RECEPTIONIST
BEST WESTERN PLUS BURLINGTON HOTEL – FOLKESTONE
TYPE: Full Time. This permanent role involves working weekends, bank holidays and evenings to meet the business needs.
PAY: £19,500.00 per annum pro rata

This is an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Receptionist to join our team at the Best Western Plus Burlington Hotel.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all guests receive a genuine warm, friendly and courteous welcome on arrival and during their stay.
- Deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner ensuring guest satisfaction at all times, recording all issues.
- Assist in efficiently and effectively controlling front office departmental operations.
- Enhance the Hotel’s ability to deliver an experience which is tailored to the individual guest needs, by providing personalized service in pre-arrival, during stay, and post-stay stages. Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in developing guest profiles on our property management system (PMS) and our restaurant booking system in order to exceed their expectations throughout departments.
- Maintain a strong relationship with the Bar & Grill Reservations, Housekeeping, and Reservations in order to coordinate guest details and key events, ensuring the effective flow of communication. Work to develop guest profiles, noting individual preferences and being proactive in considering ways to tailor guest stays and amenities to their personal likes.
Required skills and experience:
- At least 1 years’ experience working in a hotel front of house role, ideally on Reception.
- Experience working in 4* hotels are strongly preferred.
- A proactive individual who is self-driven to create memorable experienced for our guests, personalising each stay with care and recognition.
- Be a great communicator and a genuine people person.
- Demonstrate a hands-on approach to all aspects of the role, available to work flexible shifts and present in the business during peak times including frequent weekends.
- Be an enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.
- Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
