We’re looking for a Support Driver to join our Utilities team based in Exeter. Within this role, you can enjoy exposure to exciting major projects, progression opportunities, support in obtaining further qualifications and even more.
Location: Eagle Way, Exeter
Contract: Permanent, full time
Salary: Up to £13 per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities
We’re looking for a Support Driver to join our Utilities, South West Water team no days are the same. Within this role, you will be providing support to the digging gangs, deliver fittings, signs and barriers and completing any tasks assigned by the site supervisors such as, putting out "No Parking" cones, letter drops etc.
Kier Utilities brings the built environment to life, keeping people and businesses connected. In this role, you will be working on our South West Water contract, where we work on repairs and maintenance services to provide reliable, efficient, and high-quality drinking water and wastewater services.
Your day to day will include:
- Deliver and collect signing, Lighting, guarding from sites across the Devon/Cornwall area
- Complete, check and return all paperwork required
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of vehicles and equipment to a high standard, including daily vehicle checks on any vehicle driven
- Ensure that all allocated works are completed within the notified timescales and that your supervisor is notified prior to leaving the workplace
- Ensure that when driving, all vehicle checks are carried out and that the vehicle is driven in a safe a courteous manner
Who are we looking for?
This role of Back Up Support Driver is great for you if you have:
- Proven experience in a similar driving role
- Valid UK driving licence
- Previous experience and knowledge in the Water Industry preferred
- Self-motivated and proactive in terms of delivering solutions
