Supply Planner - Job Description
1. JOB HOLDER:
2. LOCATION: Dartmouth Way Site
3. REPORTING TO: Head of Supply Planning
4. JOB GROUP: Supply Chain
5. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB (Why does the job exist?)
The Purpose of the role is to support the Supply Planning team in the timely delivery of production plans, production schedules and blending schedules in order to maximise customer service and manufacturing efficiency whilst minimising inventory value and write off.
6. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To protect the health, safety and welfare of the jobholder and others at all times.
- Generation of short and medium production plans and schedules using relevant software and following agreed process.
- Maintenance of SAGE 1000 database including BOM (Bill of material) set up
- Compilation of management reports
- Represent Supply planning in a variety of projects across the business and be able to independently implement agreed outputs.
- Coordinate and manage the process for changes to production plans to meet specific customer requirements.
- Maintenance of scheduling/planning databases and software.
- Ability to produce and manipulate effective production plans/ schedules using relevant software
- Generation and manipulation of daily blending schedules
- Support the Head of Supply Planning Manager in achieving customer service, plan attainment and inventory level targets.
- Liaison with production and stock replenishment teams to ensure that production plans/ schedules are executed effectively whilst maximising customer service and minimising cost
- To ensure that the Company is professionally represented, both inside and outside the business.
- To take an active role in continuously developing the job-holder’s skills and knowledge through self-development activities and/or through attending Company organised training and development opportunities.
- To respond to ad hoc requests and/or take an active role in specific projects as directed by the job-holder’s line manager.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required by the
Company.

- Achieving agreed inventory and write off targets
- 98.5% outbound Service level to all customers
- Schedule adherence, attainment and stability
- Effective communication with all stakeholders within the Supply Chain
