- Working closely with Demand Planning, Material Requirements Planning, customer services and the factory operational team, the role requires regular liaison with other areas of the business to make tactical decisions relating to key important metrics such as customer service, inventory & cost.

- Manage the factory detailed capacity plan & master production schedule to deliver 98.5% inbound service level
- Generate a 12-week detailed capacity plan for the site
- Convert the next 2 weeks into the factory production schedule, balancing the optimal line efficiency with customer service demands
- Represent the team in morning factory reviews to ensure minimal stoppages / waste on the line
- Review daily stock levels with the Customer Service team / factory to mitigate any potential customer shorts
- Attend the medium-term planning meeting each month to handle site expectations of the forward capacity plan & ensure all lines of products have the required capacity to service the market
- Deliver company inventory targets for your site
- Use inventory analytics data to minimise excessive production
- Remove dead stock through setting optimal safety stocks
- Prevent waste in the form of clearance & finished product scrap
- Identify non-value add SKUs to be rationalised
- Play an active role in minimising raw material waste through involvement in product transition planning
- Control & maintain master data within the planning system to ensure accuracy of plans and full automation where possible
- Own sections of the planning document and regularly review / update the operating principles between the site & central planning team
- Demonstrate positive behaviours in line with the GOA21 framework
- Multi-skilling, learn to cover at least one other supply planning role
- Visit sites to collaborate & enhance relationships as & when required
- Flexibility, go above and beyond where required to ensure delivery of business results
- In addition to the core role, Supply Planners are expected to take on additional project work to build the business. The projects will be dependent upon business requirements & the individual.
- High degree of understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes
- Proven Supply Planning Experience within FMCG
- Strong IT literate with strong spreadsheet knowledge e.g. Excel
- Highly numerate and analytical
- Ability to work independently and handle own workload, work under own initiative
- Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
- Ability to prioritise workload & cope with pressure & a fast paced environment
- Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels
- Proven experience of working for FMCG / retail organisation, ideally with experience of manufacturing environment
- Understanding of the Sales & Operational Planning Processes
- Understanding of factory production processes and capabilities
- High degree of understanding of the business drivers and factors that impact on related critical metrics
- Understanding and appreciation of master data
