About The Role

Were looking for a Merchandising Specialist to join our exciting busy team based in Bradford. The purpose of the Merchandising function is to drive sales and reduce costs with a customer centric focus on availability - enabling the delivery of the right range, in the right space, for every product.
This role is specifically responsible for creating, delivering and maintaining a portfolio of planograms through either Business or Support Team activity that supports commercial and corporate strategies.
Supporting the delivery of agreed planograms, through clear processes that include Range Reset or Promotional and Seasonal Events, the role is accountable for timely and accurate plan creation and administration to stores.
The role also assumes a Group mindset - exploring all channels as growth opportunities.
Some of your accountabilities will include:
  • Adhering to agreed structure and governance of all activity to ensure all Business Team/stakeholders are aligned to output
  • Engagement in the Business Team's ways of working to ensure an optimized output that delivers against the plan and corporate purpose
  • Collaborative working with Business Teams to deliver customer-focused planograms that deliver commercial strategies through the use of robust and detailed data analysis that help to promote category growth
  • Provide first class service and support within Business Teams to all stakeholders, resolving varied queries whilst delivering required information to downstream teams
  • Be a role model for the business and department’s core purposes, whilst ensuring continual customer focus and alignment to leadership direction
  • Manage time, critical paths and workload effectively in line with agreed business processes to enable successfully delivers of all structured activity
  • Understand and utilize all available data and reporting to clearly demonstrate improvements to on shelf availability
  • Support all activity to grow market share, delivery of margin budgets, multi channel LFL growth and end of day availability improvements
This role is based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.

About You

So that you're set for success, we're looking for a self-starter, who's an exceptional communicator with the ability to influence at all levels. You'll work as part of a versatile team with a can-do culture, so it’s important that you're tenacious and strive for excellence.
You'll also have the following:
  • Comprehensive knowledge and insight of Retail industry and market trends
  • Excellent commercial awareness with a detailed understanding of all team processes and systems
  • High level comprehension of end to end stock flow and ordering systems
  • Ability to influence and impact stakeholder decision making up to Director level while being flexible and resilient in light of business direction change
  • Excellent communication including good emotional awareness to drive the right behaviours in teams
  • Proactive, data led thinking and analysis with strong organisational skills to prioritise own and team’s workload effectively, working towards bigger picture thinking
  • Broad Merchandising experience in Retail environments
  • Proficient at analyzing and presenting complex data
  • Being part of strong, effective, high performing teams
  • Provide and help build a support and guidance network that enables a good workplace for all colleagues
