The purpose of Vertical Lift Supply Chain Management is to ensure effective delivery of goods and services to support the success of Vertical Lift programmes through forecasting, proposal management and contract change; component maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO); inventory maintenance; procurement and supplier management as well as warehouse management and parts distribution.
The Role:
An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Boeing Vertical Lift Supply Chain team for a Supply Chain Specialist – Asset Management on the UK AH-64E Apache Long Term Training and Support Service (LTTSS) programme !
This role will be responsible to the Apache Material Flow Manager for the range, scaling and forecasting of inventory to support the UK AH-64E Apache. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, agile thinker, able to solve complex problems with a multi-stakeholder environment.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all inventory management processes are in-line with BDUK policy and reported as necessary
Work with the Demand Forecasting and Asset Management teams to deliver Supply Chain optimisation.
Work with the Engineering, Configuration Control and Supply Chain teams to ensure that the BoM is maintained to the correct standard ensuring that proposed modifications or changes/differences are captured and assessed for impact.
Work with the leadership team to assist in the formulation and production of Management Information Data for the Supply Chain team and the customer
Assemble and analyse data to further improve material delivery and service to the contract and programme
Support the warehouse team in directing the inventory control process and schedule in line with the existing BDUK Supply Chain process and reporting framework
Understand and assemble the contracted Inventory accounting requirements and reports for the Authority Develop clear lines of communication with the Authority and Internal BDUK teams such as Global Trade Control
Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits as necessary
Assist other BDUK Supply Chain and Boeing programmes as necessary
Develop, promote and communicate the use of best practice throughout the business Identify and implement areas of continuous improvement.
Essential requirements:
The ability to obtain SC Clearance
Demonstrated experience in Supply Chain
Excellent Communication Skills
Preferred requirements:
Demonstrated experience of the Military Supply Chain and Defence Logistic Framework
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Supply Chain Management is preferred
Experience of a collaborative team working environment
