We are looking for graduates to join the team that is transforming the way JD Sports and Outdoors deliver their customer promise! It's a big operation with 500+ Brand Suppliers, 5m sq. ft of Distribution Centre space, 10's of millions of parcels, its complex and challenging but so rewarding. The Supply Chain team works with every other department within the business, providing you with great exposure and after two years on rotation, real business knowledge that will provide an exceptional foundation for your career ahead.

- Locations – JD Sports HQ (Bury BL9 8RR) & JD Sports Distribution Centre (Derby DE21 7BH)
- Hours – Monday – Friday 40 hours

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
In the 2 year graduate programme you will rotate in the below 4 key areas/teams:
Projects & Development
The development team are currently building two DCs with a new WMS, deploying a new TMS, setting up new customer personalisation services and more – automation, systems integration, people recruitment to name just a few workstreams. Supporting the programme managers to align all workstreams with the integrated business plan gaining knowledge of each respective area.
Operations
Learn how to lead people within the DCs…engagement, leadership, productivity and performance are the key deliverables. Full HR training on behavioural and technical skills will be provided before you start but after that it will be down to you to ensure your team are motivated and focused on delivering exceptional customer service.
Finance & Planning
Working in the finance function, translate the Merchandising on sales forecasts into operational plans that will drive the Supply Chain resource and cost budgets across all areas; shipping, distribution and transportation. Then report on the respective teams performance against the plan – cost control and productivity analysis. This is £400m+ spend per annum that has to be controlled.
Brand Management (Inbound)
The Merchandising team determine how much and when the stock is needed from our Brand (Nike, Adidas and more) partners. It is then down to the Inbound team to ensure this happens. This covers Sea freight management for Own Brand, establishing then managing the nominated carrier scheme for delivery into the UK and European DCs and Supplier Compliance (ensuring the stock is delivered as required - quality, quantity and packaging) to flow through the automated DCs
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Ideal qualifications/degrees (minimum grade 2.1):
- Logistics/Supply Chain Management related degrees
