ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
The Logistics Assistant is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the logistical flow of Finished Good products for traditional retail and e-Commerce. The role will manage physical and systematic flows of product and deal with large scale deliveries for retail orders and fulfilment centre replenishment, the role will also maintain a relationship with the Third-Party Logistics provider (3PL). The fast-paced environment of the Logistics Department means the role will work closely with multiple stakeholders internally and externally to deliver the direct-to-consumer experience that is at the forefront of our ambition. In turn the role will support the overall delivery of the business objective of building A BETETR TOMORROW Supply Chain

The role will be an enabler in the growth of the business, allowing the function to adapt to the new digital agenda of the modern Supply Chain including the use of digital platforms, automation, A.I and cutting-edge technology. In turn this will help to develop a supply chain that is linked directly to the consumer any day any time.

Reports to: Logistics Manager
Geographic Scope: Local
Core Relationships:
Internal – UK Supply Chain, Sales Planning & Insights, Finance, Trade, e-Commerce Logistics, Supply Network Operations, Procurement, IDT
External – 3PL Logistics, Warehousing business partners
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Primary accountability for ensuring the daily ordering process for trade deliveries are completed on time and in full
- Primary accountability for the management of Supplier invoices and PO’s
- Enable stock count activities with 3PL
- Support the Supply Chain function by providing a flexible approach and by supplying accurate and timely information in relation to audits by external bodies.
- Create & regularly maintain EAN for all categories and EM’s, ensuring they are accessible to all stakeholders
- Obtain Safety data sheets for all products on sale and incoming NPI’s, ensuring they are accessible to all stakeholders
- Run daily stock reports to analyse risk of incoming orders & escalate risks appropriately
- Reporting KPIs/Dashboard in a format to present to internal/external stakeholders
- Oversee Stock destruction process monthly, engaging with the 3PL and finance.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement mind set and improve ways of working
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Experience Required
- Experience in working with Third Party Logistics and Last Mile delivery providers
- Experience in working with supply chain processes (e.g., inventory planning, warehouse management, order fulfilment)
- Working knowledge of MS Office, e-Commerce Platforms (e.g., Magento, Tonic) and ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite),
- Good numerical skills
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Understanding of e-Commerce platforms
- Early identification and resolution of potential stock availability problems
- Accurate direction / information sharing
- Customer delivery and collection queries resolved satisfactorily
- Collaboration with Warehouse & Transport providers
- Accurate inventory management
- Good analytical skills and problem-solving mindset
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise
- Strong communication skills
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- Business related degree or similar
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within FMCG
