Packright manufactures a wide variety of packaging products from clear and coloured PET. Designs vary from simple trays to complex vented clamshells. We have extensive experience with top, bottom, and side wall vented products as well as button snaps and friction locks. Products are designed to maximize both labor and machinery efficiencies.

CKF Inc./Packright has eight manufacturing facilities located across Canada and the USA, with a total workforce of over 1000 employees. Our operations produce foam, hard plastic and molded pulp products, including disposable tableware, egg cartons, four-cup carriers, display containers, and a wide variety of other products for the food service industry.

We have an opportunity available, at our Langley Packright location, for a Purchasing and Supply Chain Coordinator with two years or greater experience in a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time position, reporting to operations manager, working with a dynamic team. Job Responsibilities:


  • Coordinating all inbound and outbound shipments.

  • Completion of all BOL and Custom’s invoices for outbound and incoming cross border shipments.
  • Arranges and creates packing slips for customer orders from three (3) different warehouse locations.
  • Arranges courier shipments for samples, tooling, etc in support of sales and operations staff.
  • Organize and coordinate the daily shipping/receiving plan.
  • Manage shipping/receiving staff.
  • Manage warehouse space to ensure product flow and maximize utilization.
  • Participate in weekly SOP meetings.
  • Monitors shipping and receiving metrics.
  • Handle vendor returns, aging inventory and cancelled orders.
  • Perform internal inventory audits and cycle counting.
  • Manage buy/sell programs.
  • Manage customer specific labelling programs.
  • Provide administrative services by updating ERP with all pertinent information.
  • Maintain carrier freight databases and rates
  • Execute current contracts with carriers
  • Investigate all variances on invoices relating to freight claims
  • Analyze what we do within our entire supply chain and investigating opportunities to reduce costs and become more efficient
  • Work with all departments to ensure we are transporting goods in and out of CKF Packright at a competitive rate
  • Booking appointments, inbound and outbound and review delivery accuracies
  • Works multiple priority activities concurrently that requires great coordination
  • Develop supply chain procedures

Qualifications:

Must possess a grade 12 completion certificate and a certificate or diploma with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated experience with MS Word and advanced experienced with Excel.
  • Experience with an ERP system is preferred.
  • Able to resolve problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess interpersonal, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, high attention to detail, effective follow-ups, problem solve, and take ownership of tasks
  • Must have the leadership skills required to facilitate change that will improve the overall efficiency of Supply Chain Management at CKF Packright
  • Must be willing to continue education by taking courses in Logistics, Supply
    Chain Management and/or other related areas.
