We're currently looking for an experienced Leader to join our Supply Chain team as the Manager of our Delivery Assurance team. In this role the Manager is responsible for coaching and developing team members responsible for managing the supplier pipeline from purchase order award through supplier delivery. This role is responsible for on time assurance, driving supplier delivery performance improvement and helping to optimize inventory. The strategies used must support organizational objectives, strengthen team's skills and build supplier relationships. This position is a key source of feedback into the organization, helping to ensure our overall performance meets expectations, providing insights that inform future sourcing decisions and engaging cross functional teams to help resolve significant issues.
In this role, the Delivery Assurance Manager will coach the team, implement supplier and process-based recommendations and/or action plans, develop reporting/tracking tools to promote attainment of Derco Supply Chain goals and to support the growth of our business. Working with the internal cross-functional team the role will communicate areas for growth, risks to on-time delivery and opportunities to foster a culture of accountability and success.

Responsible for recruitment, development, performance assessment, work assignments and compensation planning for direct reports. Directs the development and control of policies, procedures, automation and metrics. Supports programs, projects, products and services in compliance with government regulations and contractual commitments.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
You must have excellent interpersonal, analytical and critical thinking skills. You must be able to work independently and manage your direct reports remotely. Some travel to suppliers and conferences/air shows may be required, Basic Qualifications:

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

- Ability to clearly articulate common supplier problems with senior leadership and sales in terms of forecasted business impact.
- Supply Chain knowledge sufficient to expand our knowledge base of Supplier capabilities, business practices, ability to understand the challenges of the supplier, their sub-tier suppliers, packaging houses, etc.
- Promote continuous improvement culture by identifying opportunities for improvement and applying proven tools in implementing sustainable fixes
- Energetic and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis
- Ability and skill to manage/lead supply chain projects
- A strong understanding of lean principals that are applied to the supply chain is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of supplier development/management experience
- Working knowledge of quoting, buying, and ordering procedures for discrete orders and supplier managed inventory strongly preferred
- Six Sigma certification a plus
- MRP/Exostar experience is helpful
- Knowledgeable in shipping and handling of various spare components, and familiar with packing commercial/best practices on a wide array of materials.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, and brief cross-functionally.
