Job description
- Monitor all POs raised for inbound goods into EMEA and ensure product arrives in line with ATP dates. This will require an understanding of factory management and liaising with factory planning team in China, Macau team & Purchasing team in the US
- Monitor shipments in transit from origin to their destination, including marketing shipments. This will require a sound understanding of forwarding and liaising with the respective 3PL’s & carriers to arrange & ensure shipments (Production, samples, PR & ad-hoc requests, demurrage, and detention) are secure, on time and tracked through to their destination. Knowledge of Incoterms + Factory to stock process.
- To actively monitor PO performance once the buy is confirmed and to communicate any factory delays to our subsidiary and distributor markets whilst challenging any delays and communicating with our production team to ensure our purchase orders are delivered in line with our scheduled available to promise (ATP) date
- To liaise with our Freight Forwarder, 3PL warehouses and Factories about incoming orders to highlight any issues and ensure the Operations and Customer Service Teams are informed. Liaise with all parties as and when required to identify & resolve any issues or queries. Liaise with AP to get invoices pay on time.
- To supply and collate the data for the monthly Operations performance metrics management review.
- Independent thinker, capable of establishing trust and confidence, committed.
- A detail oriented, analytical thinker with a flexible attitude to supporting the whole of the operations team.
- An enthusiasm for technology and understanding of root cause identification.
- The successful candidate will be required to produce material that is viewed by many levels of the business, including senior management, 3PL’s, customers and vendors.
- Have the ability to influence/communicate at all levels internally.
- Knowledge of PO factory Management, freight forwarding, 3PL warehouses and the supply chain process.
- Extensive experience in using Oracle, Tableau and GT Nexus software systems
- Experience in a forwarding, logistics or supply chain organisation.
- Experience of data reporting and management
- Understanding/experience of customer requirements
- Supply Chain and Logistics knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and MS Word/PowerPoint
