Summary
Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager the incumbent is accountable for inventory management, cycle count root cause and corrective actions, material requirements planning (MRP), master data management, just-in-time schedule management, material scheduling between various location, data analysis, and generating inventory, operational, and warehouse reports.
Skills/Core Competencies
- Inventory Management: Continuously monitoring inventory levels/coverage to ensure inventory is effectively turning while minimizing slow moving inventory and obsolescence risk
- Communication: Effectively communicating with customer (internal and external) to ensure supply chain challenges are addressed in an effective, proactive manner
- Just-In-Time Inventory Management: Develop weekly schedules for JIT inventory to support fulfillment of the production schedule. On the fly adjustments for JIT inventory due to schedule changes such as production that has been expedited, de-expedited, or cancelled
- SAP/ERP: Knowledge of ERP system such as SAP and MS Business Central to effectively manage MRP outputs, order placement, and production requirement through parameter management, and record accuracy
- Tactical Skills and Strategic Planning: Ability to work on daily tactical tasks, while having the strategic understand of how supply chain impacts the end to end business results. Utilizing these two competencies to add value to the overall business to meet and exceed goals and objectives.
Duties
- Verifying MRP output result and where needed implementing ERP solutions to eliminate accuracy issues to ensure the right items are in the right location at the right time
- Review material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels. Propose changes when and where needed
- Participate in production planning, scheduling meetings, and customer meetings
- Issue production work orders and investigate discrepancies and variations from the production plan.
- Work collaboratively in a cross functional environment including warehousing, distribution, quality, finance, and operations
- Coordinates, controls and reports inventory and warehouse capacity for the business unit.
- Provides guidance to planners on planning practices and data integrity.
- Initiates, develops and leads projects to control inventory and achieve inventory plan.
- Analyzes material plans and make recommendations level of inventory.
- Produces weekly reports to forecast and track inventory.
- Balances inventory results with book of record
- Tracks inventory issues and assists team members in understanding and resolving issues.

Physical Demands:
- Duties of this position are performed in an office environment, however, tasks will require daily work in production and warehouse areas with required PPE (hair net, beard net, lab coat, safety shoes, etc)
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
Qualifications & Required Education
- Supply Chain and/or Operation Diploma
- Equivalent work experience
- Fluent English (verbal and written)
