The role
As a Supply Chain Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Working where your knowledge and drive is really needed to make a difference, an exciting New Project with international exposure. This role will drive the pipeline of Activity for the whole of the supply chain on this project.
Day to day, The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of sourcing strategies and the consolidation of technical data to support the delivery of optimised financial, operational and contractual benefits.
This will be achieved through providing demand, spend, supplier, technical, market and business management data analytics aligned to and enabling the sourcing and operational strategies defined by the Supply Chain team, in support of business deliverables.
You’ll have experience in analysis for Procurement, Supply Chain or Category Management including spend, category, supplier and market data management. Data driven with exceptional attention to detail and excellent analytical skills enabled by previous experience of sourcing materials and / or services.
- Demonstrable ability to undertake complex tasks such as data modelling and analysis, data presentation and report writing and strategy creation for suppliers
- Ability to understand technical drawings and articulate technical questions to stakeholders is desirable
- Ability to handle complex data on a large scale (there are circa 50k parts in contract scope) to inform procurement decision making is essential.
- Experience of detailed quotation analysis and challenging cost information with suppliers
- Proven involvement with category management and sourcing strategies
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work closely with all relevant stakeholders internally and externally
- Ability to enable a strategic savings programme and successfully report outcomes
Essential experience of the Supply Chain Analyst,
- Significant experience in a commercially focused equivalent role and similar operating model
- Experience of working for an established commercial organisation within a supply chain function delivering compliant contracts is essential
- Experience of working within the Defence sector and an understanding of NATO Stock Numbers (NSNs) and the CSIS portal is highly desirable but not essential.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent system is essential.
- Experience of managing, assessing, analysing, and interpreting BIG data supporting a Procurement and Supply Chain function is essential
- Experience of supporting multiple sourcing strategies within a defence or engineering organisation is desirable
- Proven experience in the delivery / use of data analytic tools and reports is essential
- Proven experience in the delivery/use of an E-sourcing suite is desirable

- Degree or significant relevant experience
Only candidates who satisfy security requirements can be considered for this post. You must hold current BPSS security clearance with the ability to obtain SC security clearance.
