Cardiff Council has a Lexcel accredited in house Legal Service with excellent opportunities for a hardworking, motivated and Administrator with experience in legal services. Currently based at County Hall in the heart of Cardiff Bay with good transport links and parking facilities.

The service now operates a hybrid working model which enables employees to work flexibly from home or from an office base, depending upon service requirements. We have a modern case management system, an online legal library, and a small business support team.


About the job


An opportunity for a Supervisory Legal Officer has become available and we seek a high calibre candidate with relevant experience to join the Council’s legal team in the Community Team. This motivated and highly professional team is looking for an individual committed to excellence in their work and with a passion for Childrens and Adult Social Services legal services and working in Local Government.

The Supervisory Legal Ofifcer will be responsible for undertaking clerical, support and administration duties for the Community Solicitors and staff, to include use of Microsoft Office 365 suite and knowledge of Case Management systems, filing, photocopying, and preparation, collation and maintenance of court bundles and documents; and to assist in the day to day operation of the Community Team. The individual appointed will need to be able to deal with a varied and demanding workload and be committed to delivering a successful in-house legal service.

The successful applicant will need to have the relevant qualifications for the role, must have a proactive approach to work and is able to work as part of a team, support and supervise junior members of staff.
