An exciting opportunity has arisen for Full Time Mobile Out-Patient Supervisor within the Outpatient Health Records department. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career and gain hands on experience in a busy and thriving, supportive workplace.
Working 08.30 – 17.00 Monday to Friday you will primarily be based at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline but as the position is mobile you will be required to cover Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, Adamson Hospital in Cupar and St Andrews Community Hospital in St Andrews.
The Health Records Department provides multi-hospital / multi-section comprehensive 24-hour Health Records Service across Fife incorporating Clinical Coding, Information Management, Inpatient Services, Emergency Department, Minor Injuries Unit, Records Libraries, Scanning, Subject Access Requests, Outpatients, Waiting Times, Overseas Visitor Status and NHS Fife Switchboard.
Previous supervisory / managerial experience is essential to the role as is significant Admin / Clerical experience preferably in a Health Records department. A solid understanding of Information Governance and Staff Governance are the key to this role.
You must have the ability to prioritise and manage the day to day workload in a busy, fast paced environment. You must be able to give instruction clearly and effectively. You must have the ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision at times.
Good organisational and listening skills are essential as well as a flexible approach to working. A good level of English language competency and good communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and effectively are required.
Excellent knowledge of the Patient Pathway, 18 week RTT and Waiting Times Standards are essential to the role as is experience in I.T. packages including Word, Excel and Trakcare
Candidates should ideally be educated to degree level or have relevant experience.
