We're looking for a creative, strategic and talented leader to join the London senior leadership team at Wordbank. You'll work with other department heads to drive us to achieve our business objectives and to foster a Wordbank culture and environment to exceed triple bottom line objectives. The talented and passionate people in the department you’ll be leading possess a huge variety of skills and expertise. You will oversee effective delivery of multiple services, and promote content, media and creative centres of excellence at Wordbank. Coaching your team members in their responsibilities and helping them grow to achieve their full potential is a crucial part of the role.
You will be integral to our consultative sales approach, taking the lead in representing content, brand and media services across all channels for new and existing client opportunities. It’s in your hands to boost these opportunities by identifying and strategizing new services to increase the department’s value and potential.
Our Content & Brand Director is also a key member of the global marketing team, responsible for Wordbank's internal and external communications. You will help to define our marketing strategy, coordinate activities within the team and bring inspiration and creativity to our approach and assets.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Wordbank Leadership: Work with the COO and Directors of Client Services and Digital to develop, deliver and communicate a 5-yr strategy. Help to foster a Wordbank culture and environment to exceed triple bottom line objectives.- Wordbank Creative: Make sure Wordbank is at the cutting edge of creative, attracting new talent, exploring new creative opportunities and servicing our Digital, Social and Localization teams with great content that works.
- Team Leadership: As lead for the Content team, inspire, motivate and manage the team to produce consistently excellent content.
- Service Delivery & Development: Ensure cost-effective Content, Brand and Media service delivery, encouraging maximum efficiency, collaboration and integration across the team and the company.
- Service Development: Help increase Wordbank’s Content services offering and client base by identifying and marketing areas for growth.
- Customer Success: As part of the Customer Success team, represent Content & Brand services and solutions to prospect and existing clients help to strategise and deliver Wordbank Sales and Marketing efforts, including Wordbank brand, vision and mission.
- Wordbank Marketing: In collaboration with Digital and Customer Success, strategise for and deliver Wordbank Marketing efforts, including Wordbank brand, vision and mission.
SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary for this role is £65K - £75K per annum, depending on experience. We operate a hybrid working model, so this role can be based remotely, with time in our central London office as needed for training, team, company and client meets. Or you can choose to work more regularly from our office.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- BA or equivalent degree.
(Relevant) postgraduate qualification preferred.
Minimum seven years’ international marketing and brand experience.
Proven content creation talent and storytelling across multiple formats and channels (and languages), including social media.
Minimum seven years’ brand development experience (from discovery to definition, delivery and localization).
Global content strategy knowledge: definition and execution.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Track record of leadership and people development.
In-depth knowledge of translation and localization strategies and executions.
- Experience in a B2B agency, working with multi-market, multi-channel campaigns for high value global customer accounts.
- Proven participation in new and existing client sales cycles, including presentations, analysis and service-specific recommendations, with evidence of senior and C-level customer stakeholders.
- Second language a plus, passion for language and culture a must-have.
