We have an opportunity for a Supervisor to join our team at Centra Draperstown, 26-28 High Street, Draperstown, Co Derry, BT45 7AA.

This is a permanent full time position working 5 over 7 days. Shifts would cover opening and closing the store.

The role of supervisor is to assist in the day to day overall running of a store and maximizing the Centra Brand and Sales, which will involve delivery of the following duties:

  • Delivery of excellent customer service and maintaining high standards within the store
  • Development and driving forward certain categories in store
  • Identifying opportunities to increase sales
  • Ensuring the store adheres to Health & Safety and Environmental Health Standards.
  • Completing sales and costs reports as and when required
  • Ensuring orders are accurate and submitted on time
  • Preparing staff rota`s
  • Staff Supervision, including conducting Return to Work Interviews, Staff Investigations and ensuring full compliance to the Company`s employment policies.
  • Being responsible for the store in the absence of the Store Manager

Experience, Skills and Education

Essential:

  • Recent experience in a busy convenience or supermarket retailing at key colleague in a sales-based environment with some experience of margin
  • Excellent attention to detail in store standards
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

Desirable:

  • Good working knowledge of all fresh food areas and an ability to support in maintaining an exceptionally high standard of operational efficiency throughout the store
  • Proven experience in the areas of stock control, people skills, cost control, rota planning, HACCP implementation.
  • Further education in related discipline i.e. retail or business
  • Experience gained in food retail
  • Management or Supervisory qualification
  • Fresh food operation i.e. bakery, FTG, Deli, provisions, and coffee
