Job description
Are you passionate about supporting the successful education and progression of young people? Do you enjoy working with secondary school students and education professionals alike? Do you have an interest in enabling students to achieve their full potential?
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Project Lead to manage, devise and lead the attainment-raising strand of the Uni Connect Programme on behalf of the Southern Universities Network (SUN)
The SUN works across Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight working with our partner universities, colleges and schools across the region to help students make informed decisions about their next steps. The post-holder will play a key role within the SUN to deliver on the new strand of attainment-raising as well as supporting the other strands of targeted and strategic outreach which is delivered within schools and colleges.
You will design and deliver on projects that contribute to the partnership’s programme including activities for secondary school and post-16 students, CPD for educational practitioners, and producing resources for parents and carers. In addition, you will collaborate with SUN partner organisations to plan, manage, and deliver projects that support the partnership to meet its strategic targets.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload, possess excellent communication skills, have proven experience in inter-agency collaboration, and be adept at achieving ‘buy-in’ to new initiatives. You will have experience in organising events and producing high-quality resources for educational purposes.
This post will see the successful candidate hybrid working between the University of Southampton and your home but with regular travel across the SUN region to deliver within schools. They will work closely with the other SUN Project Leads based within our partner universities with oversight from the SUN Central team based at the University of Southampton
The post is offered on a full-time fixed-term basis until 31/07/2024. We are open to part-time or job share arrangements.
For an informal discussion and to find out more about this opportunity please contact Claire O’Neill, Head of SUN, [email protected]
