We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual to join BU to work as part of the Southern Universities Network (SUN) and support the delivery of the SUN outreach programme both on-and-off campus to targeted students, teachers, parents and carers, and advisers.
The Southern Universities Network (SUN) comprises higher education providers, further education colleges, schools, and other organisations in Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. It is part of the Uni Connect initiative. The OfS-funded project aims to rapidly increase the number of young people from unrepresented groups who enter higher education.

This position will see the successful candidate based at Bournemouth University and working as part of SUN, whose central team is based at the University of Southampton. You will report on a day-to-day basis to the SUN Project Leader at Bournemouth University.
This is an exciting opportunity for a flexible and confident professional able to inspire a range of stakeholders, including young people, teachers, student ambassadors and higher education partners. With an interest and passion for working with young people, you will coordinate, develop, organise, and deliver a wide range of presentations, workshops, projects, and events.
You will have experience working with young people and knowledge of the education sector. With excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills, you will be a strong team player who will relish the challenge of working in a collaborative setting. You will demonstrate a commitment to the values of widening participation, with a willingness to travel across Dorset, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight to enable delivery.
This position is available on a fixed-term basis until 31 July 2024.
