Team Overview: The Sustainability Team is part of a Corporate Global Initiative of LaSalle, with teams in each region of our operations. We work with the Research & Strategy Team to ensure we are industry thought leaders and can translate expertise into commercial action. We work alongside our Legal and Compliance team to keep abreast of new and evolving regulatory and compliance standards across all jurisdictions within which we operate. We work with the Investment teams, Asset and Fund Managers to deliver better built environment and investment standards within our sector. Our scope is broad, and in principle is to ensure our colleagues are facilitated to be trained, informed, and given access to industry best practice, whilst also being their first port of call for advice and resources on all matters within the Sustainability sector.

Role and Accountabilities:
You will be working within the UK Sustainability Team, assisting with a variety of tasks across the business. This will entail:
Learning about the range of Sustainability factors within the Real Estate and Investment sectors such as Net Zero Carbon and Climate Risk.

Understanding how the market assesses future climate risk and the impact on Value of Assets and Investments.

Research and horizon scan upcoming Sustainability topics, such as the UN’s TNFD, to develop summary notes for the team.

Visiting property and facility management teams to see what is done on the ground.

Supporting the operation of our Sustainability Management Programme in the UK.

Learning the importance Sustainability initiatives play in driving commercial change and real returns.

Developing internal communications pieces to inform our colleagues of our work, how they can participate.

Updating our guidance notes, literature and content across a range of subjects.

Identifying and developing exemplar case studies.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
Preferably enrolled in a BA/BSc degree course, in any subject, with a strong record of academic achievement.

Interest in the Built Environment.

Demonstrable ability to self-motivate and deliver results.

A commercial mindset and ability to think creatively when it comes to finding opportunities to drive change.

Strong interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication skills with an ability to work collaboratively.

Good attention to detail and organisational skills.

Able to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritise as required to meet expectations.

Good numeracy and computer skills including MS Office/Sharepoint .

Adaptable team player with the ability to operate autonomously when needed.
