Suicide Awareness Prevention UK - SAPUK is a dedicated small non-profit CIC organisation that specializes in providing support for individuals suffering with suicidal thoughts and tendencies, Est 2016.

SAPUK are asking for extra volunteers to help with their support services which operates 6am - 11pm daily, they also offer weekly calls with their more trained members to individuals who may need some extra support.

SAPUK offer an instant messaging support line via social media (Facebook and Instagram) and there is also an option to speak anonymously via their website, SAPUK also offer a recovery weekly program with more trained methods

Over the years as a team, they have supported numerous people and helped them overcome their thoughts of distress and to guide them away from the dark to enable them to continue to the best of their ability.

Each volunteer is a compassionate asset of a team of volunteers who work incredibly well together and strive to continue with support.

Throughout your time at SAPUK, they will invite you to conduct numerous courses and training that will enhance your skills as a volunteer, as well as gaining invaluable experience you will also be welcomed onto a supportive team

As a volunteer we require 6 hours per week, which is one shift per week, depending on your circumstances SAPUK can and will work around your normal day to day life.

Shift Patterns:

o 6am - 12pm

o 12pm - 6pm

o 6pm - 11pm

If successful a team member will be in contact with you, once you have completed the initial call, you will be asked to fill out an application form and a confidentiality form. Once the relevant forms are completed, you will then spend 2 hours enrolling at a convenient time for you.

Enrollments normally take around 2 hours to complete, and this will be within the following week after your phone call. Please note we ask for a minimum of 6 hours per week, if you are successful, you will be welcomed into a very selfless caring family.

Please note: This role is not for everyone as it can be of a distressing nature; within the team we have an incredible support network and you are able to contact any team member if required.
