Job title: Subsea Trainee Offshore Technician
Responsibility:
  • To work in a competent, safe and professional manner, to serve both internal and external customers.
  • To take all reasonable care during the performance of their work for the Health and Safety of themselves and others affected by their acts or omissions. To co-operate fully with FMC, regulatory authorities and/or third parties to ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Demonstrate behaviour consistent with FMC vision and core values.
  • To participate and contribute to successful testing and installation of all FMC manufactured equipment.
  • To promote a professional attitude while working offshore with the client.

Authority:

  • Authority to stop an unsafe act or condition without fear of reprisal and with the full backing of TechnipFMC Management.
  • Stop any job if not adhering to TFMC standards or procedures.
  • Identify and propose measures and methods for more efficient execution of project activities.

Min tasks:

  • Entry level position within the department, learning to apply basic knowledge of applicable theories, practices and procedures.
  • Engage and contribute in all training opportunities as requested.
  • Work onshore and offshore gaining exposure and confidence with company tools.
  • Support the safe and timely testing and/or installation of all TechnipFMC manufactured equipment.
  • Ensure all operations both onshore and offshore are carried out in line with company guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to use technical tools & instruments required to perform duties.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Attend pre and post job meetings and including liaison within internal and external parties.
  • Responsible for checking the load outs and post job checks of tools, hand tools, loading baskets and spares required for the project and signing appropriate documents before and after job.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork requirements are met, including FNCR/QNs during installation of TFMC equipment.
  • Responsible for the up-keep and validity of all required documentation necessary for working globally.
  • Share knowledge with colleges and assist in training, mentoring less experienced personnel prior to going offshore with all aspects of the role.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.

Mandatory SW-Applications to be managed:

  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams
  • SAP modules transactions

Recommended experience and formal qualifications:

  • Educated to ONC/HND standard or time served mechanical/electrical discipline.
  • Understands Q/HSE, familiar with requirements – participates and promotes.
  • Prior experience working in hydraulics, electrical or mechanical field.
  • Knowledge of subsea, hydraulics, mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • Possesses good knowledge of applicable theories, practices and procedures.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team in a very demanding and varying environment.
  • Good PC skills, proficient in applicable software applications.
