Due to business growth, we are now recruiting for Subject Matter Experts (Team Leaders) to join our Operations team. You will be responsible for helping to achieve the Company’s targets. This includes ensuring the vehicles are manufactured correctly, cost effectively and delivered on time, in accordance with customer build specification and quality requirements.
Main duties of the role are:
- Liaising with the Assistant Production Manager to identify and assess training and development needs
- Deliver practical training to the Vehicle Assemblers
- Implement preventative maintenance awareness with all Vehicle Assemblers ensuring tools are in safe working condition
- Ensure production/quality processes, equipment being used, and theworking environments are all conducive to producing a high-qualityproduct/service
- Monitor & review production progress against deadline targets to ensure on time delivery
- Establish goals and objectives for self and team and implementaccordingly to help support/improve job performance
- Carry out daily morning meetings and weekly toolbox talks to ensure full communication and transparency with team
- Promote & maintain awareness and compliance of H&S in accordance with best practice and legal requirement
- Conduct Health and Safety checklist daily, report and potential issues to Assistant Production Manager
To be effective in this role, you will have experience in managing Health and Safety and of managing teams and understanding how to motivate and engage. You will have experience of working in a fast-paced Manufacturing department and have demonstrable experience of managing, coaching, and developing staff. A driving licence would be essential for this role.
Hours of work are Monday – Wednesday 7am – 6pm and Thursday 7am – 5.30pm and the salary is £13.75 per hour + bonus.
