Reporting into Centre Manager
The role
Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a clean and tidy environment? Do you take pride in maintaining a well-kept workplace for yourself and others? If so, we have an amazing opportunity for you!
We are seeking a skilled Office Housekeeper to join our team and ensure our office space is spotless and welcoming for all employees and visitors. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning and organising all common areas, including toilets, meeting rooms, conference space. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all areas are well looked after and a healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and organise common areas, including toilets, break rooms, and conference rooms.
- Supporting Front of House duties
- Serving drinks and ensuring coffee machines are kept in working order.
- Welcoming guests and clients
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Empty rubbish and recycling bins
- Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including desks, chairs, and shelves.
- Restock supplies as needed.
- Disinfect and sanitise all surfaces regularly.
- Ensure all food is disposed of from fridges periodically.
- Notify Centre Manager of any necessary repairs or maintenance needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a housekeeper or cleaner
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing to work evenings and weekends to support cleaning after events.
- Must be physically fit as it is a main component of the role and you must be able to also be on your feet for prolonged periods of time i.e., walking.
- Able to think proactively.
- Able to recognise Health and Safety issues and report these.
- The ability to be flexible to meet the needs and demands of the role.
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
