Waldrams Limited a division of RSK Group is a specialised surveying practice that provides advice, analysis, and reports on rights of light, daylight and sunlight, party wall and other related technical analysis to the construction industry. We are a company based in London with more than 20 years of experience.
Our ability to maximise development potential is supported by our specialist in-house computer aided design (CAD) team that uses exceptional, state-of-the-art, three-dimensional computer models and sophisticated software to support every project. We are currently looking for a CAD Technician to join our team for a permanent full-time position starting immediately. Access to office at the start is preferred but the role can develop into a blend of office and home working.
Responsibilities
- Efficient and accurate modelling and analysis with adherence to company CAD standards. Primary analysis will relate to Daylight and Sunlight for planning and Rights of Light;
- Seek to understand principals of Daylight and Sunlight for planning and Rights of Light as they apply to the analysis required;
- Proactive quality check of own work is highly accurate;
- Working with the CAD leads to improve and develop skills. Continual skill development to support the companies CAD needs and a growing understanding of how the CAD function fits into the rest of the business and how to best improve its contribution and efficiency

Knowledge of the following analysis will also be a positive
- o Daylight and Sunlight analysis (VSC,DD,APSH),
- o Rights of Light analysis (ROL),
- o Cutbacks and Envelopes o Radiance o VSC/APSH façade analysis,
- o Transient Overshadowing
- o Solar Glare
- o Light Pollution
- To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, you may be asked to perform additional tasks that may be reasonably expected within your level of capability with additional remuneration.
Person Specification
- Good English language skills for written and spoken communications
- Good independent time management
- Flexible urgent workloads as needed
- Reliable to agreed deliverables
- Accurate and detail orientated in technical work
Salary and Benefits
- £30,000 – £40,000 dependent on experience
