Salary: £40,000-£45,000
Location: Cambridge/Coventry & hybrid working
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract

As an OCR Subject Advisor, you will provide in-house expertise on our new A Level in Politics, and potentially on related subjects. The role will involve working on the development and launch of the new Politics qualification. We are looking for someone with experience in planning and delivering Politics who has an excellent understanding of the needs of teachers. Experience of teaching Law will also be an advantage.
OCR (Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations) is part of Cambridge University Press & Assessment. About the role
- A passion for your subject, and the ability to be an ambassador for it with schools, the regulator and stakeholders at all levels
- Providing high quality and knowledgeable customer service and supporting schools and teachers to deliver our qualifications
- Providing subject input into the maintenance of current qualifications and the development of a new Politics A Level
- Growing OCR's business through the provision of insight, partnerships and stakeholder engagement
- Quality assurance of subject content developed by external subject experts and training of assessors.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Recent teaching experience and/or recent relevant work within the context of secondary education
- Excellent subject expertise and the ability to discuss subject issues at high level with a range of stakeholders
- An understanding of qualification delivery and experience of assessment
- The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively to a range of audiences
- The necessary behaviours required to build successful partnerships and relationships
- Experience of successfully delivering projects on time
- A can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
