Subcontractor Buyer
Based on the Oswestry site and Wigan Office
Contract: Permanent, Full time
£50,000 -£60,000 Depending on experience with excellent benefits
Are you an experienced Buyer who has experience with Subcontractors and looking for the next opportunity that will provide a unique experience every day and provides you with a role that will give you a wide variety of experience? If this is the case, then we would love to hear from you! The ongoing success of my client's business has resulted in my client having an urgent requirement for a Buyer to join their team at their Oswestry site, their local office will be based in Wigan. We are seeking an experienced procurement specialist who can add value to the unit. This specialist will identify the demand-supply chain capacity that resides within the unit's operating unit.
What will you be doing:
- Supporting live construction projects through sound procurement practices
- Implement an "added value" material procurement strategy for each project.
- Assist the project team in accurately forecasting their outturn material costs.
- Provide the agreed forecast information by the agreed dates each month.
- Attend monthly meetings to discuss material forecasts including any movements in the period and future risks.
- Continuous monitoring and improvement of the supply chain
- Be the prime business unit contact for the Group Procurement Function
Who are we looking for?
- Procurement experience ideally in the UK construction industry
- Previous subcontract experience
- Supply Chain Procurement experience
- Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards but not essential.
