As our Subcontract Programme Manager, you will collaborate with multi-functional Supply Chain Management Teams with the external supply chain. You will have the responsibility for third party deliverables for capture opportunities and programmes focussed on the commercial, cost, technical, schedule and quality requirements for each contracted product or service.

Typical duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Collaborating with the cross functional Supplier Management Team for both internal and supplier interactions.
  • Taking customer and internal requirements and developing supplier work packages. This will include RFI/RFQ packs and subcontract documentation.
  • Identification of prospective suppliers and leading early engagement activity including capability assessment.
  • Working with suppliers to obtain proposals and negotiating key contract elements including pricing, schedule, compliance to requirements, terms and conditions.
  • Managing competitions, analysis of results and recommending suitable suppliers to ensure best value across key criteria such as price, quality and performance.
  • Identifying, establishing and ensuring performance to contract deliverables is achieved through effective delivery.
  • Conducting Reviews and providing accurate, concise and timely status reports to the Supply Chain Lead as required by the Business Rhythm

Required skills, qualifications and experience

Required skills and experience:

  • Strong procurement/commercial, business acumen, financial control and analytical skills.
  • Experience in working in multi-functional organisations and a proven ability to achieve profession and business goals.
  • Experience working on UK MoD programmes and captures.
  • Capable of operating to tight schedules in a dynamic work environment.
  • Confident self-starter, with an ability to innovate and think laterally, work confidently both individually and as part of a team.
  • Good communicator with the ability to form strong relationships with internal teammates and external suppliers.
  • UK Citizenship; Current SC clearance or ability to achieve.
  • Flexibility to travel as required (UK and abroad).
