Studio Production Lead - Fixed Term Contract
- 8 Month Fixed Term Contract (230004WA)
Zest is our In-House Creative and Content agency. We support all brands across the Sainsbury’s group (Sainsbury’s, Argos, Habitat and Tu), across all channels and platforms. Our Design, Photography and Video content is a critical part of creating a truly exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
What you will do as a Studio Production Lead
- Leadership – Lead, coach and develop a team of Production coordinators. Inspire the teams to create clear meaningful goals and objectives. Co-write development plans to nurture their growth and enhance their Production and forecasting skills. Motivate and engage the teams through workshops, 121’s and regular constructive feedback sessions.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication - Be proactive in your approach with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide creative solutions. Maintain a high level of professionalism with clear communication in all interactions. Build and maintain strong relationships with external and internal clients. Continuously share new TU production milestones and actively seek feedback from your stakeholders.
- Studio KPIs and SLAs – Analyse studio performance metrics and deliver efficiencies to support the team and meet the business goals and priorities. Collaborate with the studio to deliver agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs). Drive continuous improvement in this area to support your teams area of delivery.
- Budget tracking and reporting – Coordinating and maintaining the production budget for the studio. Feeding back key information to the studio manager on forecasting, tracking, and reporting on cost per garment and time to site. Ensure the trackers are kept up to date and issue regular reports on the status of costs and studio performance.
- Resource planning – Responsible for the training, induction, and development of new and freelance Production coordinators. Ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to organise and schedule samples within the studio workflow. Collaborate with the shoot teams and managers to allocate appropriate resource to projects. Regularly coordinate with the shoot teams, post-production teams and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of shoots.
- Health & Safety - Champion safe working practices throughout every element of content production. Always ensure you and your teams work are within Health and Safety rules and guidelines and call out and act if you are aware of any breaches to H&S procedures. As production lead you will patriciate in health and safety audits and sign offs for ad hoc shoots.
Sample and Image workflow management – As production lead, you will oversee the sample and image workflow processes, ensuring they are seamless and efficient as possible. You will continuosly challenge and drive improvements in this area to ensure the studio continues to evolve and deliver desired results.
Team collaboration – Work collaboratively within Zest Agency, digital Trading teams and external teams on briefings, process mapping and project planning. Work closely with the studio teams to ensure new creative requirements & new guidelines can be realistically achieved. Inspire the team through regular feedback and communication streams and encourage a dynamic positive studio environment.
Project and shoot planning – Scheduling and Planning our core shoots in studio as well as our elevated and core projects. You will organise and review resource, space, costs, and impact for each project for the Tu studio and support all shoots from concept planning through to delivery. Ensure all budgets and resource requirements are adhered to throughout the planning processes and flagging any blockers of delivery.
Trouble shooting – Assess and deliver results under pressure and to a fast, adaptable shooting schedule. Conduct risk assessments to plan and prep ahead to ensure trouble shooting processes are implemented and followed. Escalate any issues with samples or images to the relevant stakeholders and co-ordinate the best approach for the studio.
What we’d like to see from you
Proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Suite: Mastery of these tools is essential for data analysis, reporting, and project management.
Experience in Reporting and Cost Tracking: A track record of effectively reporting and tracking data and costings to inform decision-making.
Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire studio teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
Sample Management Expertise: A strong understanding of sample management processes, ensuring the efficient flow of resources and samples.
Numeracy and Forecasting: Proficient numeracy skills coupled with the ability to forecast and plan resources effectively.
Exceptional Planning: Highly organized with exceptional planning capabilities to ensure projects run smoothly
Leadership, Coaching, and Mentoring: Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor team members for growth and development
Innovative Thinking: A proactive mindset that identifies opportunities to simplify workflows and constantly seeks ways to improve processes
