Studio Photographer - Vintage Fashion

Studio Photographer - Vintage Fashion Queenborough, England

Domno Vintage Ltd
Full Time Queenborough, England 10 GBP HOURLY Today
Job description

*Photography experiance is NOT neccesory for this role, an interest would help.

Here at Domno Vintage we sell vintage clothing online and we love it! We’re looking for someone to join us (founder and two employees) who also values vintage and is willing to learn alongside us, as we grow this exciting business. The opportunity to get involved with many aspects of the business, not just those mentioned below, are waiting for the right person.

The role of our Studio Photographer is a technical one and there is always lots to remember on a day-to-day basis, as every piece of clothing we buy is unique and needs to be catalogued and cared for accordingly. As our team is small, you will have immediate responsibility to play your part and, if you’re up for the challenge, we’re sure you’ll love working here with us!

We are also looking for someone who likes to work independently as most of the day you will be in our studio taking photos.

The jobs you will be involved with are:

1. Product photography

Product photography with our DSLR camera in the studio is at the core of what we do. Each prepared item is photographed back and front, as well as individual close-ups taken of any flaws/defects. You will also need to iron and pick the items before taking photos. This is the main job you will be doing and is done daily. Again, you do not need any experience with a camera as you will be taught by one of our experts the basics. A good understanding of DSLRs is not required.

2. Post production

After photos are taken, you will need to edit them on a software and get them ready for uploading to the website. The process is mostly automated but you will still have so work to do in this department. This again will be taught by one of our experts.

3. Picking

Picking the sold items from our clothing rails, transferring these to a packing area to be wrapped in our eco-friendly packaging before being dispatched to the customers. We already have someone taking care of the packing aspect of this role but you will be in charge of the picking and it will be done each morning.

4. General bits and bobs

Clothes are everywhere in our warehouse and so there are tasks that always need doing, such as hanging items, some clearing up and others.

What we're looking for

- A strong work ethic
- A desire to learn and be part of a team
- Highly organised with a proactive approach
- Undertake tasks efficiently and to best ability
- Keep stock and work space tidy

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £10.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • On-site parking
  • Store discount

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: One location
