Job description
What you'll do:
- Prepare, create and playout of broadcast graphics using Viz Trio systems in a live and non-live environment from our graphics broadcast centre and galleries in Osterley and outside broadcast locations around the UK and beyond
- Working with our in-house design and technical teams to develop new graphics and applications for use in a variety of different areas
- Be part of our team working on telestration analysis with the presenters and guests on top football shows; using the Piero analysis tool and custom designed touchscreen systems
- Deliver sports programming using ViBox broadcast software, adding graphics and clipping up packages for transmission in a fast-paced live environment
- Enjoy the flexibility of working from home to prepare and test graphics ahead of broadcasts by remoting into our Viz systems at Sky
What you'll bring
- Excellent communication skills – we work in conjunction with many other technical and production roles, so an ability to think quickly and be comfortable working in an exciting, ever-changing live broadcast environment
- Fully computer competent with a good understanding of Viz Trio preferable, but not essential, however good literacy skills a must
- Have a keen eye for detail, be enthusiastic and inquisitive
- Knowledge, passion, and a love of different sports
- A desire to learn new technologies and the motivation to take on challenges
- Capability to work in a in live, ever-changing environment, working to tight deadlines and be resilient under pressure
- Flexibility. Live sport doesn’t just happen during the week between 9am-5pm! As with all broadcasters, we work on a shift basis and cover evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Sky Sports and our other clients are constantly evolving their output and we as a department react accordingly
