The Pingle Academy is an 11-19 co-educational, comprehensive school, became an academy in May 2017 and joined The de Ferrers Trust. Our oversubscribed academy is the academy of choice in the local area and enjoys an excellent local reputation.

The Candidate
We are looking for a confident, determined, and assured Student Support Worker to work with the Assistant Principal and wider Support and Guidance Team to ensure every student is supported to achieve their potential. The Support and Guidance team are located in the centre of the academy comprising two areas. The first area is led by the Assistant Principal in charge of Support and Guidance who leads a team of four student support workers. The second area is led by the DSL/Early Help manager who leads the safeguarding officer, A HLTA and student support worker who are dedicated to delivering emotional support and counselling interventions.
Your role will be to ensure the day-to-day smooth running of the academy, making certain that students are focused on learning. You will manage the implementation of the Behaviour Policy, liaise with parents/carers and teachers, and provide interventions to students accordingly. The Student Support Worker will work as part of an experienced and vitally important team to make certain that the academy is a calm and orderly environment where students have a positive attitude to learning and school.
