These roles sit within our newly established Customer First area bringing together teams who are the first point of contact with our students. Teams within this area work closely with all Professional Services and Schools to deliver on the end-to-end journey for students, from application to graduation. Our Customer First vision is:
Our seamless and intuitive customer service delivers an exceptional personalised experience at any time and place.
About the role: Currently, we are recruiting two Student Support Coordinators into our Student Support 24/7 Team. As part of the Student Support 24/7 Team, these roles will contribute to the daytime provision, which operates between 6.30 am and 7.30 pm including weekends.
Student Support Coordinators form a key part of our initial response to student enquiries, ensuring students, particularly those who are disclosing complex situations or vulnerabilities, are heard, understood, and responded to effectively. The team will adopt a coaching approach to build resilience within the student community, ensuring students are fully engaged in their own solutions.
The role is part of a team which responds 365 days per year, as such, there will be occasions when the role holder may be required to work during university closure days / weekends/ bank holidays by arrangement.
About you: You combine knowledge and understanding of best practice in risk assessment, triage, and customer care. You adopt a collaborative way of working with a coaching approach to connect into the resourcefulness and expertise of Professional Services, Academic Teams and NHS partners.
Energetic and resilient, you enjoy working at pace and are comfortable with complexity and uncertainty. You have excellent communication and influencing skills and establish credibility quickly with staff at all levels. You are passionate about higher education and can inspire your colleagues individually and collectively to deliver the best possible support for students.
