We are looking for an empathetic, organised and committed administrator to join our busy Student Support Team at Edinburgh Law School.
The Opportunity:
As a member of the Edinburgh Law School Student Support Team, the Student Support Administrator (SSA) will play a key role in supporting taught students throughout the student lifecycle. They will be a first point of contact for student and staff enquiries to the Student Support Team, offering support and advice on general queries. The post holder will help identify students requiring additional support, liaising with colleagues and escalating concerns as needed. They will work closely with Student Support Manager, Student Advisers, academic staff and the wider Student and Academic Services Team and will be involved in supporting community development, promoting engagement and a sense of belonging, and facilitating delivery of social, learning and skills development opportunities.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Previous experience in a busy administrative role, ideally in Higher Education
- Confident user of Microsoft Office tools
- Comfortable working as part of a medium-sized team
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Flexible, approachable and helpful attitude, with a student-focused approach to work
