We are seeking a Student Records Support Officer to join the Student Record Operations Team.
The Opportunity:
Student Systems Operations manage the University’s student record system and related processes, which underpin the student journey from application to graduation, and provide advice to colleagues across the University on student lifecycle processes and the systems that support them.
The Student Records Support Officer role involves providing support to applicants, students and staff who require assistance in understanding, updating or validating the data within the student record and wider student systems portfolio.
This role is primarily focussed on supporting applicants to the University, processing data, and working through high volumes of transactional activity, including some problem solving.
The successful candidate will have excellent IT, problem solving, and data handling skills. We are also looking for someone with a flexible approach to working, with good communication and interpersonal skills, as the ability to plan, meet deadlines, and exercise personal responsibility.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentational) skills
- Experience of working independently and using initiative and judgement to respond to queries, to resolve problems and to deal with unforeseen circumstances
- Ability to effectively manage own work priorities, demonstrating self-motivation, initiative and resilience in achieving results and delivering work
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to deliver a professional, high quality, customer-focused service, with the ability to stay calm under pressure and project friendliness, confidence and a proactive manner
- Pro-active approach to seeking out information and to solving problems to deal with enquiries from staff, students and applicants
- Accuracy and attention to detail, flexible approach to workload and proactive attitude, well developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills Excellent IT skills including Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook) and experience of using IT systems and bespoke software
