Job description

Key Accountabilities

Sales - Do you see yourself as an advisor or problem solver?

You will be dealing with feed mills in a sales setting and supporting our customers and their customers with nutritional advice and problem solving

Sales - How about selling our products?

You will learn some great selling techniques to support you in selling our products with promotion at farm level and sales through various Ag merchants.

In House Support

You will gain valuable experience in all the other areas of the business that support our customers. This may range from Customer Services, understanding our Premix products, how our feed is formulated as well as how are products are marketed via Social Media, campaigns etc.

The Chemistry behind it all

Laboratory Services – you will spend time in our Quality function using various analytical tools including NIRS, XRF (for mineral analysis) Silage analysis, Mycotoxins etc.

Sustainability – you will play a part in our journey to promote and enhance our sustainability goals using tools and models to establish current Environmental footprints for Milk and other products and then defining mitigation strategies to help reduce this. (We are on the point of launching a EF Dairy model to feed mills which will need on farm support and would be a significant part of a placement)

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

Essential:

  • Applicants should be studying for a third level qualification in an agriculture or animal nutrition related discipline.

Key Competencies

  • Have a passion for animal nutrition
  • Must be self-motivated and have a proactive approach
  • Be an effective team player
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all functions within the business
  • Possess a high level commitment to safety

Location: This job will be based at Trouw Nutrition’s facility, Clarendon Dock, Belfast
