We are now looking for an Administrative Officer to join our Hwb team working across the Swansea campuses on a full time basis working 37 hours per week.
THE ROLE
The student Hwb supports students at each stage of their university journey and serves as the first point of call for student queries. The University has a student orientated culture and puts students’ needs at the heart of everything it does. The Student Hwb Administrator will provide responsive information and holistic, flexible support in person, on the phone, via email and live chat. You will act as a key triage point of referral in the Centre to ensure students are supported and signposted in a timely and appropriate manner.
Hwb staff are empowered to resolve a list of common student queries and issues without the need for further referral. The Hwb knits the different elements of the University together, presenting a unified approach to our students. Where referral is required, the Student Hwb makes an active referral and track the resolution of student issues through to completion.
You will maintain and monitor student enquiries to the Hwb. You will work with several partners across the University in order to provide a full and appropriate response to student queries. You will work collaboratively across a range of areas and aspects administered by the Hwb. You will be required to place a strong emphasis on customer service.

To be considered as an Administrative Officer, you will need:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be an effective team member in a demanding environment, working towards a common student-focused goal
- Ability to take a "hands on" approach to and to work, on your own initiative
- Ability to demonstrate effective organisational skills
- You will have a high level of initiative, be able to work well under pressure and prioritise workload, demonstrating self-motivation at all times.
- You will have excellent organisation and administrative skills and be a proficient user of a variety of IT packages, including MS Office and use of CRM systems.
- Above all, you will have a strong student focus, be highly approachable and have a calm and positive solution focused approach.
