The M&S Finance team plays a key role in setting the pace for our key business decisions, shaping budgets, analysing sales, managing costs and making sure our most vital statistics and data are absolutely accurate.
With a focus on adding new value to all business areas by helping them make data-driven decisions and understand what is driving commercial performance – it’s our job to make sure the right tools, processes, governance and ways of working are in place to support this.
The Central Purchasing team are accountable for raising and management of purchase orders for the business. They ensure that the correct process is followed by the wider business and also provide full training of the Goods Not For Resale Process. This role will suit a person that is comfortable with conversations at all reward levels, sometimes challenging conversations to ensure the correct process and controls are followed. This is a busy team, with varied content each day.
Key Accountabilities:
- Vivantio Queries 75-100 per day to include the following:
- Shopping Cart creation
- Goods Receipting
- PO Amendments
- System Support
- Process Guidance
- Compliance and Support
- Reporting – PO’s in Error, Shopping Carts Awaiting approval >7days and Automated BOT report checks
- Weekly End to End GNFR Training (once you are established in role)
- Legal Dept – End to end Purchase order process
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages – Excel, Teams
- Strong communication skills, both spoken and written and confident challenging non-compliant processes.
