Job description
Student Financial Support Assistant
(NTU Graduate Placement)
£23,829 - £25,766 p.a.
Full-Time
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for NTU students graduating in July 2023 (or those who have graduated in the past 12 months) to gain experience of working within a student financial support context in the Department of Student Support Services at NTU.
Student Support Services offers a range of practical, specialist and professional support services for students operating in an integrated, student services context across all the Nottingham Trent University campuses.
Reporting to the Student Funding Officer, you will support:
- The provision of student funding advice via telephone, e-mail and face-to-face;
- The administration of bursaries and hardship funds to students;
- The organisation and delivery of events and projects to support the financial education of students;
- University-wide events to support recruitment, welcome and induction of students.
You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to understand and apply complex regulations and processes. You will be proficient in a range of software applications, have excellent organisational skills and be able to manage competing demands in a busy environment. You will receive appropriate training to become familiar with the student finance regulations and procedures affecting home students.
Due to the student-facing nature of this role, the post holder will be expected to work on site (city campus, with occasional visits to other NTU campuses).
In your application or supporting documents, please ensure that you state how you meet the criteria as stipulated on the job description and person specification. This should be in addition to any CV that you may wish to attach.
Closing Date: 4th June 2023
